The BorWin6 onshore 700 MVA HVDC transformers have now left Siemens Energy’s factory in Nuremberg, marking an important milestone for the BorWin6 HVDC project.Designed for high performance and long-term reliability, the transformers are a key element in enabling efficient and stable power transmission onshore. They support the reliable integration of offshore wind power into the German transmission network and contribute to long-term grid stability. With the transformers on their way, complex engineering becomes grid‑ready infrastructure.
